Build in extra comfortAn ICF basement is more comfortable. ICF’s are insulated walls that include a built-in moisture and air barrier. It is strong because it is “wet cured” concrete sandwiched between two layers of insulating foam. This means that ICF foundations tend to be warmer and dryer than traditional foundations. Arxx walls dramatically reduce drafts and “cold spots” compared to conventional basements. The two layers of foam insulation will also eliminate humidity problems in most basements.
